Ford Maverick statistics span U.S. sales, hybrid adoption, Mexican plant output, recall populations and controlled safety testing. The measures below identify their periods, geographies and definitions so sales, production, inventory and test results are not treated as interchangeable.

The monthly series shows reported sales ranging from 7,143 vehicles in February to 13,826 in November. September, October and November each exceeded 13,000 reported U.S. sales, while April remained below 7,300.
Ford Maverick Hybrid Sales and 2025 Momentum
Ford reported 68,752 Maverick hybrid vehicles sold in the United States in 2024, with hybrid Maverick sales 31% higher than in 2023. The hybrid figure is trim-specific and should not be confused with all Maverick sales.
Ford also reported 187,426 hybrid vehicles sold across its U.S. lineup in 2024, up 40% versus 2023. That lineup-wide total provides context for Ford’s hybrid activity but is not a Maverick-only measure.
The next available sales checkpoint shows continued momentum:
| Measure | Period | U.S. result |
|---|---|---|
| Maverick sales | May 2025 | 15,508 vehicles |
| Maverick sales change | May 2025 vs. May 2024 | 13.9% higher |
| Maverick year-to-date sales | January–May 2025 | 73,706 vehicles |
| Maverick year-to-date change | January–May 2025 vs. same 2024 period | 13.8% higher |

Ford listed 31.3 thousand Mavericks in U.S. gross stock at the end of May 2025. Gross stock is inventory, not sales, registrations or an owner count.

Ford Maverick Production Statistics at Hermosillo
Ford’s 2023 release reports 123,786 Mavericks produced at the Hermosillo, Mexico, plant in calendar 2023. Plant output is a production measure, not global deliveries, and it is separate from U.S. sales.

| January | 8,694 |
| February | 7,143 |
| March | 9,649 |

The repeated monthly values do not make sales and production equivalent. They should be labeled according to whether the question concerns vehicles reported sold in the United States or vehicles produced at the Mexican assembly plant.
Ford Maverick Recall Statistics and Affected Vehicles
NHTSA recall populations describe vehicles potentially affected by a safety issue; they do not establish that every vehicle failed or experienced a fire or camera fault.
NHTSA recall 24V684, identified in the Ford notice as recall 24S59, covered 268,427 U.S. Mavericks. Its affected scope was 2022–2024 model-year Mavericks built at Hermosillo from February 3, 2021, through November 8, 2024.

A separate filing, NHTSA recall 23V-380, involved 125,322 potentially affected vehicles across a combined Ford, Maverick and Lincoln population. The filing specifically identified 2022–2023 Ford Mavericks as light vehicles, but its total is not Maverick-only.
The same recall documentation says Ford implemented production robustness actions for the 2.5L HEV/PHEV engine issue on or before September 1, 2022. That is a production-correction date, not a failure-rate estimate.

Ford Maverick Crash-Test Injury Measurements
IIHS measurements are controlled crash-test dummy results from specified trims and model years. They are not observed injury rates in the driving population, and applicability can vary by test and build date.
In the driver-side small-overlap test applying to 2022–2026 models, the tested 2025 XLT crew cab 4WD recorded a HIC-15 of 103, maximum chest compression of 26 mm, and maximum Nij of 0.21. Left and right knee displacements were 1 mm and 3 mm, while left and right foot accelerations were 40 g and 53 g.
The passenger-side small-overlap test on a 2025 XL crew cab 4WD recorded a HIC-15 of 56, maximum chest compression of 23 mm, and right femur compression of 3.6 kN.
| IIHS test measure | Result | Tested configuration or scope |
|---|---|---|
| Driver small-overlap HIC-15 | 103 | 2025 XLT crew cab 4WD; applies to 2022–2026 models |
| Passenger small-overlap HIC-15 | 56 | 2025 XL crew cab 4WD |
| Updated moderate-overlap rear-passenger chest index | 38 | 2023 XLT crew cab 4WD |
| Updated moderate-overlap rear shoulder-belt tension | 4.9 kN | 2023 XLT crew cab 4WD |
The updated moderate-overlap test recorded a rear-passenger chest index of 38 and shoulder-belt tension of 4.9 kN on the tested 2023 XLT crew cab 4WD.
For 2022–2026 models built after July 2022, the updated side test on a 2023 XLT Hybrid crew cab recorded driver and passenger HIC-15 scores of 146 and 295. Driver torso maximum and average deflection measured 28 mm and 25 mm, while rear-passenger maximum and average deflection measured 46 mm and 37 mm.

Ford Maverick Pedestrian Safety and Occupant-Protection Data
IIHS pedestrian results are controlled test outcomes rather than real-world crash rates. The 2024-model pedestrian tests measured whether the system avoided a collision or reduced impact speed under specified speed, lighting and crossing conditions.
The crossing-child test recorded an avoided collision at 12 mph and a 24 mph impact-speed reduction at 25 mph. In crossing-adult night testing, the Maverick reduced impact speed by 11 mph at 12 mph with high beams, avoided a collision at 12 mph with low beams, and reduced impact speed by 18 mph at 25 mph with high beams.
The parallel-adult night tests produced different outcomes by speed and lighting:
| IIHS pedestrian scenario | Test condition | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Crossing child | 12 mph | Collision avoided |
| Crossing child | 25 mph | Impact speed reduced by 24 mph |
| Crossing adult at night | 12 mph, high beams | Impact speed reduced by 11 mph |
| Crossing adult at night | 12 mph, low beams | Collision avoided |
| Crossing adult at night | 25 mph, high beams | Impact speed reduced by 18 mph |
| Parallel adult at night | 25 mph, high beams | Impact speed reduced by 13 mph |
| Parallel adult at night | 25 mph, low beams | Collision avoided |
| Parallel adult at night | 37 mph, high beams | Impact speed reduced by 8 mph |
In parallel-adult night testing, the Maverick reduced impact speed by 13 mph at 25 mph with high beams, avoided a collision at 25 mph with low beams, and reduced impact speed by 8 mph at 37 mph with high beams.
